Research and ensure your products comply with both Chinese export regulations and Amazon’s fulfillment center requirements. This includes verifying product eligibility, proper labeling, and adherence to safety standards.

Choose a Freight Forwarder

Select a reliable freight forwarder or shipping agent experienced in shipping to Amazon fulfillment centers. They will assist you with logistics, documentation, and customs clearance.

Determine Shipping Method

Decide on the most suitable shipping method based on your budget, product type, and urgency. The common options are air freight, sea freight (LCL or FCL), or express courier services.

Create a Shipping Plan

In your Amazon seller account, create a shipping plan by specifying the quantity of products you want to send to each fulfillment center. Amazon will provide you with shipping labels and instructions based on your shipping plan.

Packaging and Labeling

Properly package and label your products according to Amazon’s guidelines. Ensure that each item has the required Amazon labels, FNSKU (Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit), or UPC/EAN barcodes.

Arrange Pick-up or Delivery

Coordinate with your freight forwarder to arrange pick-up or delivery of your shipment from your supplier’s location in China. Provide them with accurate shipping details, including weight, dimensions, and quantity.

Customs Clearance

Your freight forwarder will handle customs clearance procedures, including preparing and submitting the necessary documents, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.

Shipping and Transit

Once customs clearance is completed, your shipment will be loaded onto the chosen transportation method (air or sea). Track your shipment’s progress using the provided tracking number.

Destination Port Arrival

For sea freight, your shipment will arrive at the designated port of entry. Your freight forwarder will manage the customs clearance process at the destination country.

Delivery to Amazon Warehouse

Your freight forwarder will arrange for the transportation of your shipment from the port to the Amazon warehouse. They will coordinate with Amazon’s carrier partners or use their own network for delivery..

Amazon Receiving and Inventory Check-In

Upon arrival at the Amazon warehouse, Amazon’s receiving team will check and process your inventory. They will verify the shipment against the shipping plan you created in your seller account.

Fulfillment and Customer Orders

Amazon will store your inventory and fulfill customer orders on your behalf. You can monitor inventory levels, sales, and customer feedback through your seller account.
